Who we are and what this policy covers
Awaken Post is a monthly creative wellbeing subscription made by Danielle Minett, trading as Danielle Minett Artist 88 302 002 143
I am based on the NSW Central Coast, Australia. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “we” mean Danielle Minett and Awaken Post.
This policy covers this website (danielleminett.com.au), Awaken Post subscriptions and gifts, the free sample card, the emails I send, and my social media pages. It explains what personal information I collect, what I do with it, and the choices you have. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Awaken Post is not a therapy or clinical service, and I do not collect health information through it. If you are a client of my art therapy practice, your records are covered by that practice’s own privacy information, [link or wording to confirm].
What we collect, and how
I collect personal information directly from you, automatically when you use the website, and from payment and delivery providers when you buy.

I do not ask for sensitive information such as health details. Please do not include any in your messages to me.
Why we use it, and emails and unsubscribing
I use your information to:
- process and post your orders and gifts
- take payments and renewals, and send receipts
- send service messages, such as renewal reminders, shipping updates, gift notifications and questions about your order
- reply to your messages
- send you the free sample card
- keep business, tax and legal records
- run, secure and improve this website, and prevent fraud
I send marketing emails (news, offers, what’s coming next month) only if you have agreed. You agree when you ask for the sample card, tick the opt-in box at checkout, or join in another clear way. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email me. I will action unsubscribe requests within five working days.
Service emails about an active subscription or gift are not marketing, so you will still receive them while it is active.
If someone buys you a gift, I will email you to let you know and to arrange delivery. I may also remind you before your gift term ends. You can ask me to stop at any time. Gift recipients are not added to my marketing list unless they choose to join. [Confirm exactly which gift emails the website sends.]
I do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with, including overseas providers
I share personal information only with the people and services needed to run Awaken Post.

I may also share information when the law requires it.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. For international orders, your name and address also go to the postal services in your country. I choose established providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information, but I cannot control how overseas providers handle it once it is in their systems.
Cookies, security and how long we keep information
Cookies. Cookies are small files your browser saves. This website uses them to keep you logged in, remember your cart, keep the site secure and count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the shop may not work properly without them. [Add cookie banner wording if advertising or analytics cookies are added.]
Security. I take reasonable steps to protect your information. The website is hosted with WordPress.com, which provides security monitoring and backups, and card details are handled by the payment provider. No system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
How long I keep it.
- Order, payment and tax records: five years
- Subscription details: while your subscription is active, then five years
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe
- Messages to me: five years
When I no longer need information, I delete it or remove what identifies you.
Your rights, complaints and how to contact us
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it (unless I need to keep it by law), or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email me and I will respond within 30 days.
Awaken Post is made for adults to order. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This website links to other sites and social media platforms. They have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for them.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
I may update this policy from time to time.
